The Swedish license plates look like this: "ABC 123" but certain combinations of letters has been removed from public use. For some the reasons are very understandable even for a non-Swede and some are not very obvious at all...

Exhibition: Pastille Boxes
At Kulturhuset in Stockholm there's an exhibition of candy pastille boxes from the 50s to the 80s. Most are Swedish (and Finnish) so it's a nostalgic experience, if you are too, revisiting long lost lables. Many are classics, though, and still in production. And many are really pretty to watch. Or funny.

History: Brazil goes Åtvidaberg
It's the summer of 1966. The Brazilian national football team has been invited to the Swedish town of Åtvidaberg by the AB Facit company, at the time a large successful producer of calculators and typewriters. It is all a part of the Brazilian team's training program for the World Cup in England later in the summer. Retro: Hungarian Calendar Cards
A bunch of, in many cases, hilarious Hungarian vintage calendar cards (or whatever you'd prefer to call 'em) will be found on this Hungarian site. On the picture side there are pin-ups, other collectible images, advertisement for sausages and lotto, (I think) public awareness info and more. And they are all worth a look. Just check out the Borat look-alike on the last one!
