San Francisco still blares air raid sirens across the city every Tuesday at Noon for better or worse.
Better safe than sorry. All across Sweden the sirens are tested every third month, first monday 1500 hours. But those are general catastrophe sirens but I guess they are the ones that would be used in case of an air raid. However I believe, in these days, very few know where their shelter is. I don't. Got to find out.
I live 20 Meters away from a siren and this siren is testet every tuesday. It's not so amazing...
