Poster Art: BR
Via Coudal Partners I found the Old Railway Posters Flickr pool and these nice British Railways posters from, I guess, the 50s or possibly the 60s. For better or for worse I've done some retouching just to clean them up a bit. If anyone has the information on who made them and when, I'm interested... (Update 1: we have the information on the bottom poster - see below it - thanks to the very helpful Kickcan & Conkers. I wouldn't be surprised if the top one was made by the same artist in the same year.// Update 2: Crownfolio of the Quad Royal blog has found the information about the top poster - see below it. Thank you!!)

- enjoy :)
Thanks a lot for the info and links!! Nice site indeed. Ilkley look very nice too :)
And the top one is by PG from 1961. The link (although there is no image) is here:

The NRM has quite a few of these posters, although their images are sometimes a bit ropey (!). Do come and have a look at my links page, as there are quite a few places to find this kind of thing if you like it.
crownfolio: Many thanks!! I'll take a look at the NRM but I'll study Quad Royal (and its links) very intensely. It looks like a great blog!
I found Quad Royal yesterday and had a great time diggin' and delvin'!
Thankyou both! It's only recently up and running so we're still getting there with links and so on - do let me know if there's anything you think should be included. I am also having a a great time splashing about in both of your blogs
Both: :-)
