Karl-Bertil Jonsson's Julafton has gained huge popularity in Sweden, and is broadcast every Christmas Eve on Swedish and Norwegian national television.

The film was dubbed to English in 1987, with Bernard Cribbins as the voice-over, and got the title "Christopher's Christmas Mission"."
