Poster Art: BR

Margate, BR (SR) poster, 1961. Artist: PG

Come to Hastings & St Leonards by Train, BR (SR) poster, 1962. Artist: Lander, E

Via Coudal Partners I found the Old Railway Posters Flickr pool and these nice British Railways posters from, I guess, the 50s or possibly the 60s. For better or for worse I've done some retouching just to clean them up a bit. If anyone has the information on who made them and when, I'm interested... (Update 1: we have the information on the bottom poster - see below it - thanks to the very helpful Kickcan & Conkers. I wouldn't be surprised if the top one was made by the same artist in the same year.// Update 2: Crownfolio of the Quad Royal blog has found the information about the top poster - see below it. Thank you!!)

Movies: "The Poor Man's Julie Christie"

Well, I guess a girl can be called a lot worse things. Worse or not they could be called The Battersea Bardot.
