Bulletin Board: Have You Seen This Man?!
From Martin Klasch |
Missing: German, Male, known as rideyourpony (AKA RYP and klein-pferd-ritter), admired excellent director of the Twilightzone! music blog (http://rideyourpony-twighlightzone.blogspot.com/) Last seen ? (a few days ago? Edit: yesterday) the blog has ceased to exist! Voluntarily or forced? If you have any information about this case please leave a comment.
:((
PS. If anyone wonders about the image it is one of the posters for "Jour de fête" (I've removed some details from the original image) not that it matters on this "Jour de tristesse"...
UPDATE: Here he is! :D
Thanks to the commentators. Now we can celebrate this "Jour de fête" after all!

Photography: Make Your Own Fish-eye Lens
Here's Johnny!
Did you ever wish you had a fish-eye lens on your camera? Johnny did. So he made his own using a door eye, an empty roll of toilet paper and a kitchen cloth. Here's his manual on how to do it (not very complicated).

Vintage Satire: Krångel-Svea
Oh, no! The Smorgasboard is going!!
This is a detail of a poster showing a 1940s satirical take on Swedish war-time rationing, bureaucracy and patronizing by the government. Krångel-Svea would translate Hassle-Svea, Svea being the personified Sweden (like John Bull or Uncle Sam). I found the poster in a thrift store today. Originally it's probably a black and white print that has been hand-colored. See the whole thing and more details here: Krångel-Svea.
