Photography: Palast der Republik
Spiegel Online: Thorsten Klapsch: "Palast der Republik"
"The Palast der Republik was a showpiece building in East Berlin, a congress hall as well as a center for public entertainment. By 1993 it had been sealed off to the public. Thorsten Klapsch was the last photographer to capture its interiors before a long period of demolition began."

GIF Animations: Drinking with Max
GIF animation made by myself.
"How to skoal with style. Swedish film star Max von Sydow engages his drinking partner's gaze. Tipping his glass backward, von Sydow drains the chilled aquavit in one deceptively cool gulp. Lowering the glass to the level from which he raised it, von Sydow again meets his companion's eyes."
Cooking Issues: "The photos appeared in “The Cooking of Scandinavia” one of the books in the amazing Time Life series Foods of the World. The shooter was none other than Richard A. Meek, one of the original roster of Sports Illustrated photographers."

The photo I used was found at Pin Pals.

"This is one of my favourite portraits. It is also my one claim to fame. I sold it back in 1979 to the V&A Museum..."
George Plemper: "In my early days I was employed, at my second school, as a science teacher at Riverside School, Thamesmead. Situtated on the Bexley/London border, it was a relatively new school in a "London" housing estate. " (continue)

Vintage Photos: René Maltête
Vintage Photos had a big post containing a large number of photos by French photographer René Maltête but via a earlier post at PCL LinkDump I ended up at Maltête's own site where lots more photos can be viewed. Funny and beautiful. Go!
