Problem: We're sorry, this video is no longer available
The last week or so I have had major problems watching clips on YouTube. Probably more than 90% of the clips have either just stuck in loading mode or the error message "We're sorry, this video is no longer available" reared its ugly face.
After searching the Internet for solutions, uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe Flash Player a number of times, I finally found someone in a forum who described exactly the same problem that I had. Luckily, I could also find the explanation; the culprits name is Google Web Accelerator.
Hey, wasn't it supposed to accelerate things?! Isn't it so that Google owns YouTube? Should they really make programs that sabotage YouTube watching?!! Is that wise?
Anyway, after uninstalling that program everything worked fine and I actually think general web surfing works faster without it. I could be imagining this but I'm not so sure.

By the way, do you use any personalized start page? I have had iGoogle for a long time but never used it. I never liked it. Don't ask why. Today I tried NetVibes and so far it seems really good and it looks a bit better than iGoogle too. So I guess I'll give it a try.
PS. I'm not a Google hater. They make lots of good stuff too.

Unfortunately I dont have google accelerator installed and still have this problem :(
That's a shame. Maybe if you install it and then uninstall it. Just kiddin'. If you have FireFox you might wanna try removing some add-ons, one at a time. I had a similar problem before but it was helped by removing a zoom add-on. Good luck, what ever you do.
Man..thanks a lot...i have been having this problem for a long time...i never doubted it would be because of the google accelerator...just stopping it worked for me..i didn't have to uninstall..!!

Same story here. I don't have Google Web Accelerator, but haven't been able to watch 90% of YouTube videos for about a month. Sometimes they'll work if I refresh the page a number of times, and sometimes they'll play if I change the YouTube Location option a number of times.
I did a search today and I see that many, many people are having this issue; however, YouTube all but ignores it in their help pages. There is one link that takes you to a video of theirs to help solve problems watching videos, but, of course, you can't even see the video if you're having this problem.
Sigh.
In a tech support forum someone said: "I just got an email back from YouTube.com it told me to delete my cookies and cache on my computer. I did so and now I can watch YouTube videos again." Maybe that works for some.
Steve: The YouTube video says to uninstall and reinstall your Adobe Flash player....
Guess what, I uninstalled the Yahoo tool bar and all the videos now work perfectly OK.

Thank you . . . I just installed Web Accelerator yesterday and started having this problem today.
I didn't have Web Accelerator and had been having this problem for a month or two, too. I just found a VERY easy fix (although I guess it's a little extra work to use every time) -- just go to www.youtubeunblock.com, then type in www.youtube.com in the space on that site. It takes you to YouTube, and unblocks all the videos for you. It's an easy, completely non-techie solution. Meanwhile, hopefully Google/YouTube will get their act together and solve the problem.
I didn't have google accelerator, and had this error. I fixed it by going to internet options ---> connections ----> lan settings ----> and un clicking automatically detect settings. That cleared it right up.
i had the same problem. deactivating vlc multimedia problem works for me.

THANK YOU - THIS SOLUTION COMPLETELY FIXED IT!!
I don't have google accelerator but I do have google desktop. I had this problem in both Safari and Firefox and simply turning off the google's web indexing function on google desktop solved the problem.

I don't think it's the google web accelerator. I don't have that installed anywhere and I still get problems.
No one is mass downloading on our network I believe.
I can download massive things using Net transport 2. Savage 2 for example. I can download that within 30 minutes (can't remember how fast actually).
But sometimes youtube varies. Video works. Doesn't. Does. Doesn't. Does. Doesn't. Does.
