Ahead by a Nose

Noodles, right, tries to nudge into the lead, but will not be able to beat Buddy, left, to win the Wiener Nationals in San Diego, California. The race, sponsored by Wienerschnitzel, was one of the game-day events leading to the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl. Dachshunds from around the western United States came to compete in the race.
