Vintage Photos: René Maltête
Vintage Photos had a big post containing a large number of photos by French photographer René Maltête but via a earlier post at PCL LinkDump I ended up at Maltête's own site where lots more photos can be viewed. Funny and beautiful. Go!

Vintage Photos: Heja Sverige!
Photographer: Co Rentmeester, 1972, LIFE
I don't exactly know what this photo was supposed to illustrate but searching the LIFE photos for "polaroid" this was one of the results. A beautiful woman, probably Swedish, wearing a t-shirt with an image clearly Swedish. The typical red-painted Swedish cottage, the flagpole, the blue-and-yellow, trees...
This is also an image of Sweden...

Vintage Comics: Splash
slightly cropped and adjusted panels
The Allen Bellman Splash Page Gallery
"Splash page or sometimes referred to simply as a "splash", is a full page drawing in a comic book. A splash page is often used as the first page of a story, and includes the title and credits. Splashes that are not on the first page of a story are sometimes called interior splash pages. Interior splashes may, or may not include titles and/or credits. A panel that is larger than others on the page is called a splash panel. A splash that appears across two pages of a comic book is called a "double splash" or a two-page spread. Rarely, splash pages will stretch over more than two pages; such multi-page spreads often take the form of fold-out posters." - Wikipedia
