Illustration: Jim, Jock and Jumbo
"Jim, Jock and Jumbo" is a children's picture book from 1946 by Swedish illustrator Einar Norelius (story by Nils Bohman). Norelius is probably best known for his illustrations for the annual fairy tale collection "Bland tomtar och troll" (John Bauer and Gustaf Tenggren had been doing the work before him and Hans Arnold succeeded him). Exhibition: Stig Lindberg
"Stig Lindberg's (1916-1982) designs for household items – notably ceramics – are familiar to almost all Swedes, as are his illustrations to popular children’s books. The exhibition gives a picture of Stig Lindberg's work as an industrial designer during the latter half of the 20th century."

FYI: A funny thing happened yesterday...
They (my Wonderful new Danish readers) say that the third largest Danish newspaper Politiken (the paper issue) printed a link to our humble blog yesterday. Why?! you wonder and so did I. I, sort of, still do because I don't know in what context it was printed. Anyway, the link was to this particular post.

Piero Umiliani composed the soundtrack for Svezia, Inferno e Paradiso/Sweden, Heaven and Hell/Schweden - Hölle oder Paradies/ Sverige - Himmel eller helvete. It is typical laid-back lounge-style jazz-pop, á la 60s and 70s, often heard in European exploitation flicks of that era.
(The soundtrack of course contains the famous song "Mah-na-Mah-na"....)
