Vintage Games: Strongman Machine

Photos by P-E Fronning

This is a vintage Swedish coin-operated game machine which measures your strength as you try to press a couple of handles together (They are not seen in the photos I'm afraid). Judging by the funny illustrations I'd guess the machine is from the 60s. The results of your efforts vary from "infant" to "world champion" via "maiden", "drunkard", "clerk", "half-strong", "ladies' man", "lumberjack", "athlete" and "fighter".

Is there a good name in English for such a machine?

Update:
Sarah of Meet Me At Mikes says: "It's not a very good name, but here in the US those games are called "Test Your Strength""
