Vintage Ads: Carlsson på taket

I read somewhere that the rally driver having a break and a Pommac soft drink isn't really the man he is supposed to look like: Erik Carlsson (see previous post) but a model. Be that how it may, the photo is good. Carlsson was a great driver but he managed to flip his car a number of times. There's also a Swedish children's book character called "Karlsson på taket"/"Karlsson on the roof". Hence Erik Carlsson's nickname "Carlsson på taket" and hence the ad photo.

The "Gris"...

...and the "Björn".

Front and back.

"Ingen rädder för ABC inte heller för 1-2-3" ("No one is afraid of the ABC, nore of the 1-2-3") is my best thrift store find of this summer. It's a tiny children's book from Sparbanken ("The Savings Bank") and as the title suggests it's an ABC book with some math teaching kids the benefits of putting money in the bank. The wonderful ABC animal illustrations by Staffan Wirén are glued in and I wonder if they came with the book or if you got them one by one at the bank. It doesn't say what year this was printed. It's probably from the 50s. Here's an excellent opportunity to learn about the Swedish letters Å, Ä, Ö.

I wish I could tell you something about Staffan Wirén except that he was/is (?) a very good Swedish illustrator. I know that he has illustrated a number of books but it is hard to find examples of it on the Internet. However there is "Vårt svenska samhälle" ("Our Swedish Society") uploaded by David at The Klockarp Institute and there is the cover of "Kondition och hälsa" ("Fitness and Health").

The "Ren"...

...and the "Älg".

Question: Free Photo Sharing Sites

I like Flickr and Picasa Web Albums but I've just about reached my free upload limit. I'm a cheap guy who doesn't like to unnecessarily pay for things and I'd rather not get stuck with a service which will be hard to give up. So now I'm thinking I'd better come up with a really good option. There are a number of services out there, I know. I have an ImageShack and a PhotoBucket account, and they are OK but I don't like the navigation and they have a busy appearance and they are perhaps a bit slow.

I need the site to be:

- totally free (at least up to 1 GB)
- clean and easy on the eye
- logic in its navigation
- rather fast than slow

Do you have a favorite to recommend?

UPDATES:
First suggestion is in from josephzohn: eSnips
(and I actually already have an account there! I forgot about it.)
Update on this: I've tried it but it doesn't seem to allow linking. I'm sure it's very good in other ways like sharing with other eSnippers.
