Music: Carli Tornehave

Hårda Bud - Carli Tornehave

From Wikipedia on the Swedish movie "Raggargänget"(1962) by Ragnar Frisk: "A group of Swedish hot-rod teenagers meet every night in a local café. Berra and Kritan are the bad guys, always messing things up for themselves and everyone else."/"This total flop is probably the best-known Swedish turkey."

Christmas Music: Sant-O-Nine

Click the individual images to get to the music and to unpack you type the name of this blog (without space).

Get it while you can and happy listening!

Christmas Music: Santaism

Following the yule tradition that I've created for this blog I've put the annual Martin Klasch Christmas music mix together once again. There are 27 songs in this year's compilation but I'm not going to reveal which ones or by whom they are performed. I will say that if you've heard my other Christmas mixes you'll feel familiar with the style of the mix. If this interests you at all all you have to do is click the image of the cover and you'll end up at zSHARE where you'll be able to download the rar-file (130 MB). And just to annoy you I put a password on it - so to unpack the files you have type the name of this blog (without space).

I hope you'll enjoy it!
Sorry. No longer available.
--
PS. If anyone wondered: If I find the time and energy I might repost the mixes from earlier years. We'll see.
---

Christmas music: Santaphonic!

Without further ado
let me present to you this year's production - Santaphonic! I hope you'll like it.
Merry Christmas and God Jul from Martin Klasch.

Sorry. No longer available.

Christmas music: Reposting Santology from '06

Last year I had to ask myself how to follow such a well put-together and well received Christmas music mix as Santalicious was. Of course I didn't have the recipe for that but I still wanted to make one and I think it turned out fine.

The review in A Christmas Yuleblog said: "They are mixing it up nicely, balancing the old and the new, the instrumentals and the vocals."

Santology (96,2 MB)

Christmas music: Reposting Santalicious from '05

A year passes so quickly. Have you noticed? Well, in 2005, as soon as I was able to pick up the first sounds of jingling bells, I knew I had to get started with the Christmas mix if there were to be any. Another thing was clear to me - I wanted that year's mix to be more personal than the year before. So I dove (dived) deeper into the sea which they call Christmas music. The result I came up with was simply Santalicious (72,8 MB).

Sorry. No longer available.

In its review A Christmas Yule Blog calls it "an awsome Christmas CD". Hm, maybe it is. I hope you will enjoy it.

Christmas music: Reposting Santafobic from '04

Have you had enough of Christmas already? No? Can I interest you in some more Christmas music? Yes?

Martin Klasch's Christmas mix CD Santafobic from 2004 is once again available (69,8 MB). The password is none other than martinklasch.

Alternative download link (EasyShare).

This was my first attempt on a Christmas music mix and personally I think it's a very nice one. However...no I won't say any more. Try it or if you want you can read a review of it in the Christmas music expert blog A Christmas Yuleblog.

I will of course quickly follow up this repost with Santalicious '05, Santology '06 and Xxxxxxxxxxx '07.

Christmas music & album covers: The Three Suns

To be honest
I'm not much of a fan of instrumental group The three Suns, I think they are pretty boring to listen to, but oh boy did they have some great artwork on some of their albums!! Found at Ernie (Not Bert) - a great Christmas music blog!

Music: The Martin Klasch Santa Audio vol 3

Hi Ho! Today it's time for Martin Klasch's Christmas gift to you. It is this year's Christmas music mix - Santology. You could say it's similar to a great dopp i grytan on the Christmas smorgasboard. Enjoy!

Music: The Martin Klasch Santa Audio vol 2

Hi all! Are you ready to consume some more Christmas music? It is time for Santalicious from last year. It's a bit like grisfötter, only it tastes good.

Music: The Martin Klasch Santa Audio vol 1

Hi kids! I hope you are into Christmas music 'cause today we are serving Santafobic from 2004 - a nice sorgasboard (smörgåsbord) of mostly anglo-saxon Christmas songs.

Tomorrow it is time for Santalicious from last year. This compilation is a little bit more odd but still very enjoyable - like a nice Swedish sillsallad. On Friday you'll be able to download the new volume: Santology.

Christmas: Probably the best Yule music ever

I realize "The best..." are strong words, but listen to The Soulful Strings - The Magic of Christmas, and tell me if I'm wrong? Do you have a better candidate?

UPDATE: Sorry, no longer available...

(Thanks to Basic Hip Digital Oddio for posting the music stream! It's possible to get it in better quality here; but not for free.)
