If you are a lover of great illustrations and children's books you have to see this picture in its entirety. I guess it's another illustration of The musicians of Bremen. Click the image! Found in Children's illustrations
The car race between Moore and Curtis in the first episode. This is how they meet. After this clip they will start a fight over how many olives goes into a Dry Martini. (Uploaded by Dansmoncafe)
"The Persuaders! is a British television series, which first aired in 1971 and 1972 in Britain's ITV and on the ABC Network in the United States. The series starred Tony Curtis, as Danny Wilde, and Roger Moore, as Lord Brett Sinclair, both millionaire international playboys, but from very different American and British backgrounds." (more from Wikipedia) The show was a big fiasco in the States (they only showed 20 out of the 24 episodes) but it was a big success in many European countries. Moore had only signed up for one season so he could easily sneak off to doing Bond and Curtis, well honestly, his good days had already ended some time ago, hadn't they? Maybe the fact that only one season was done the show managed to keep a high standard and thus in time creating the cult status which it holds for many. But of course then there was the fast cars, the glamorous chicks, the flashy settings, the witty dialogue, John Barry's outstanding theme music...
Hints: It helps if you are from Scandinavia or Eastern Europe; that's where they have been most successful so far. For the usual photo line-up the guy on the right should stand in the middle.

"Detective Comics is a comic book published by DC Comics since 1937."/"Originally an anthology-style comic, featuring stories in the "hard-boiled detective" genre popular at the time..."/"However, the fame of Detective Comics was assured by issue #27 (May 1939), which featured the first appearance of Batman (as "The Bat-Man")." Now it is official - Bibi has started a video blog obviously called Videos with Bibi! For many of us it is no secret that Bibi of Bibi's Box has uploaded loads of films to Google Video. We are talking classic quality film, classic cult movies, historic silent films, old cartoons, artsy experimental shorts and films that quite simply are in public domain. So far, on the blog, we can watch for example: Kurosawa'sRashomon, Eisenstein'sBattleship Potemkin, Fritz Lang'sM, Murnau'sNosferatu, Wiene'sThe Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and The man Who Knew to Much by Hitchcock. How's that for a lesson in cinematographic history? It doesn't stop there. We get to watch animated Gulliver's Travels by Dave Fleisher, early 20th century funny trick filming, semi-documentary German films from the 20s and WWII stories by John Ford and John Huston. And more. You can't expect me to tell you everything, can you? Look for yourself!
The Last & Greatest Acrobatics is just one of Japanese Mizna Wada's illustration series' that you can find on her web site - Mizna Lens. At first I didn't think that her style was anything I'd like but I surrendered to her personal mix of disturbed cuteness and morbid humour. She tops it all of by executing her works with an impressive accuracy.

Predrag at DVDlab sent me a couple of images from their restoration of the cartoon Professor Bathazar (1969-1971).

Quite a difference isn't it? They hope to finish all the episodes this spring. However these are so far only for the Italian/Spanish versions. Let's hope not for long!
