Cartoon: Professor Balthazar

Finally someone (DzmrDz) has uploaded some episodes of the Croatian cartoon Professor Balthazar. This I have been waiting for since March last year (old post). Thanks to anonymous commentator and to Fikret Karic for telling me this! One of the episodes has the very suitable title "Martin Makes it to the top". Sure the cartoon is in Croatian but if I could understand it you should too. Enjoy the colours, the characters and the music!

Did you note that in this first Balthazar episode - Izumitelj cipela - his beard is red and curly?

PS. The company DVDLAB are in the process of preparing an italian well restaurated version of whole series. We wish them good luck!

Info: A short break

You
might have noticed that we are taking it a bit easy here at Martin Klasch. Well, we will continue doing so for a little while still. But before you know it (a day, a week or so) we'll be back in good form. So don't be a stranger. Check back soon, ok?

Music: The Martin Klasch Santa Audio vol 3

Hi Ho! Today it's time for Martin Klasch's Christmas gift to you. It is this year's Christmas music mix - Santology. You could say it's similar to a great dopp i grytan on the Christmas smorgasboard. Enjoy!

Music: The Martin Klasch Santa Audio vol 2

Hi all! Are you ready to consume some more Christmas music? It is time for Santalicious from last year. It's a bit like grisfötter, only it tastes good.

Music: The Martin Klasch Santa Audio vol 1

Hi kids! I hope you are into Christmas music 'cause today we are serving Santafobic from 2004 - a nice sorgasboard (smörgåsbord) of mostly anglo-saxon Christmas songs.

Tomorrow it is time for Santalicious from last year. This compilation is a little bit more odd but still very enjoyable - like a nice Swedish sillsallad. On Friday you'll be able to download the new volume: Santology.

Game: GROW ver.1

GROW ver.1 is the name of the new online game from popular EYEZMAZE.

"There is no score system, but rather he says to play it as you would look through a picture book. In particular, your children may enjoy playing it with you." via Jay is Games

And yes, it's damned cute. Also, this time of year it might be appropriate to remind of holiday-themed Ornament.

Art: Picasso

Watch Pablo Picasso's brush strokes through a special transparent canvas while he's creating paintings in a few excerpts from The Mystery of Picasso a film by Henri-Georges Clouzot. Then watch some more Picasso stuff.

Blog: GlyphJockey makes the headlines

Congratulations to blogger Lex10 and his blog GlyphJockey which has become a favorite of magazine Rolling Stone. Reason is his little movie Royale With Cheese. Soon he will be canonized for his new movie - La Virgen de Xtabay!

Music: Right On Soul Hits!

"Right On Soul Hits - the stone smashes that are in the charts today! The big ones written by James Brown, Joe Tex, Marvin Gaye, Wilson Pickett and a host of others. The tunes that are lighting up the soul charts from New Orleans to Boston - L.A. to New York. A right on collection in the original sound." (from the Liner Notes)

I'm re-posting* this great record - originally posted in February - for your listening pleasure. The musicians and singers on this album - released in 1972 - are anonymous cover artists but they are great. Groovy listening!

Where am I going?

Music: Lee Hazlewood is ill

I'm reading that 77 years old singer/songwriter Lee Hazelwood has contracted kidney cancer and has less than a year left to live. On the bright side he is releasing his (probably) last album - Cake or Death.
